2017 has been ended on a great note for Tollywood. Comparatively, Tollywood witnessed more blockbusters and super hits than previous years. The year began with Megastar Chiranjeevi's comeback film 'Khaidi Number 150' release.

KN 150 stood as the biggest industry hit with Rs.105+ crores theatrical share. Having been made in Mega Power Star Ram Charan's own production Konidela Production Company, the film's mega success gave enough josh for Megastar to work on Tollywood's next magnum opus, Sye Raa Narasimhareddy.

If Megastar delivered the first hit of 2017, another mega hero Allu Sirish appeared to be ensuring the last hit of 2017 with his new offing Okka Kshanam. The movie, which got released on December 28, received good reviews and positive word of mouth.

In the US the film shows upward trend in collections through its positive word of mouth. "Telugu film #OkkaKshanam shows an upward trend in USA...Wed $ 29,890 Thu $ 47,574 Total: $ 77,464 [₹ 49.45 lakhs]," trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted. On the other hand, the movie is registering houseful collections in multiplexes and single screens of A centres.

Now that the film was made with a shoestring budget, buyers may get their investments recovered at the earliest. Altogether, a mega hero may complete calendar year 2017 with a hit.
