Telangana Joint Action Committee chairman Prof M Kodandaram is understood have decided to step up his war against chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.

Hitherto, Kodandaram has confined himself only to criticising the government and KCR’s policies. He never made any direct comment against KCR or his family members personally. However, he has now decided to target KCR directly, taking his name.

On Saturday, the TJAC chairman accused KCR of becoming highly inaccessible to the people. He said the kind of interest he had shown in constructing his own official residence was not shown in completing the weaker sections housing scheme.

“The people are expecting that the ongoing Assembly session would provide some solutions to their problems, but KCR and team are focussing mostly on launching a counter attack on the Opposition,” he said.

He also alleged that instead of answering the issues raised by the TJAC, the ruling party has adopted a habit of launching counter-attacks against him. Strongly condemning the attitude of the TRS government, he accused that it was ignoring Telangana movement’s objectives.

Asserting that he would move ahead against the government’s ill-motivated policies, Kodandaram said that they are prepared to question the government over issues such as forcible land procurement for projects from farmers, improper implementation of fee reimbursement scheme for students, farmers’ suicides, opencast mining and other issues.
